AWANA & WEDNESDAY NIGHT 2022-2023 PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION
AWANA & WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHILDCARE 2022-2023 VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
In Compass Kids, we believe each child is a gift from God and we take that seriously as we welcome kids into the children’s ministry department with the conviction of pointing them to Christ. The Bible is clear that parents are to be the primary spiritual leaders in the lives of their children and we want to do everything we can as a church to encourage, empower, and equip parents in this role. We come alongside the parents as we help to provide a strong foundation for kids by sharing Bible stories with them while teaching them the importance of making the decision to become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our volunteers are key in the success of what happens in Compass Kids, as they demonstrate through their actions and through their relationships with the children what it means to follow Christ.
In Compass Kids, we strive to help transform the lives of our kids as they understand who Christ is, how they need Him as their Savior, and how they are commanded to follow Him. God continues to bless us with children at Old North. Ministry is not about the multitudes, it is about individuals; it is not about programs, it is about people. And it’s about demonstrating to our children the importance of establishing a relationship with Christ so they will someday say, “Yes,” to Him as they want to follow Him and live for Him.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY REGISTRATION
There are lots of opportunities to meet new people, grow in your walk, and serve. We offer classes on Sunday mornings @ 9:15 & 11AM, Growth Groups on Wednesdays and throughout the week (September through May), and various women’s and men’s Bible studies during the week.
The aim of adult ministry at ONC is to create as many disciple-making contexts as possible to foster as many mature Christians as possible. We believe discipleship is the growth in biblical conviction, godly character & ministry competency through God’s Word and with God’s people. As a group of unified disciples, we strive to speak God’s truth whenever and wherever we are able.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY REGISTRATION
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Old North women’s ministry is an extension of Adult Ministries. Our programming follows that stated goal of gathering women with God’s people around God’s word. We offer weekly Bible studies, In-depth book discussions, Fellowship Dinners, and other opportunities towards that end. The hope is that all of our women would become consistent in Bible reading, active in prayer and engaged in the Old North community.
OASIS (Older Adults Sharing in Service)
A new umbrella for Old North Senior Adult Ministries that will include Golden Heirs and Prime Time, and expand to provide “mature” adults (age 55+) an additional opportunity to grow in faith and to serve both the congregation and the community – after their participation in Sunday worship, Growth Groups and service through ministries where they currently serve.
To learn more about OASIS, please call or text Gordon Mapley (330-519-3641) or e-mail him (gemapley@gmail.com).
