Who we are

Old North Church was founded in 1936 in Canfield, Ohio and through the years it has seen thousands of people experience life change as they have come to faith in Jesus through the message of the Gospel. Today, Old North consists of a body of believers that ranges across multiple generations and comes from a variety of backgrounds, professions and communities in this region

Old North is a Baptist Church that is part of Converge World Wide and we enjoy ministry partnerships with a variety of churches and organizations in this region and across the globe.

Our vision is to be a Christ-centered, multi-generational community of disciple-making disciples.

This vision is worked out through our core values of:

  • Biblical preaching & teaching
  • Personal & intentional discipleship
  • Healthy children & families

The most important aspect of our community life is experienced in our Sunday Gathering in which we worship God by sitting under biblical preaching, praying to Him, singing to Him and giving to Him. The atmosphere is friendly and casual but we approach the task of worshipping God with sincerity.

Wednesday Night we have programs and Bible studies for all ages to help people grow in their understanding of who God is and how He works so that we can mature in our relationship with Him. There are a variety of other programs and Bible studies throughout the week.

An important part of Old North’s DNA is training. We believe that many aspects of Christian growth are both caught and taught and that replication happens as the people of God are well trained for the work of God. We are intentional about raising up more Gospel workers for this region through our training programs.

No matter what your background is or how much or little you’ve experienced a relationship with God, there is a place for you here. It is our desire to help you grow in the most significant relationship you can have in this life, a relationship with Jesus Christ.
